What is it?
Fan The Flame is a Christian youth camp for boys and girls of ages 11 to 18 at Lapwing Lodge near Paisley run by The Potter’s House Christian Fellowship of Stewarton, in partnership with Riverstone Church, Georgia and YWAM, Seamill. You do not have to be a Christian to attend. Boys and girls are housed in separate indoor rooms at the Lodge and all staff at the camp are police cleared and come from The Potter’s House, Riverstone Church and YWAM. A Doctor is on call for the duration of the camp.

Lapwing Lodge is found on the B775 Paisley to Lugton Road. Lapwing Lodge is located on the outskirts of Paisley, only 20 minutes drive from Glasgow City Centre and about the same from Kilmarnock.

How Much is it?
£90 per camper - this includes money for the Tuck Shop



What to bring?
Bible, notebook, pen, camp clothes including old clothes for obstacle course, rain gear, toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant), sleeping bag or duvet, towel, washcloth, soap or shower gel, camera, bug spray, sunscreen. Pillows are provided by the Lodge. Also remember to bring along your outfits for the evening activities (see below).

Whats Happening?
Most days will feature a variety of games and activities. These will vary from obstacle courses and ‘wild and crazy’ games to opportunities to do crafts and other less wild games. Whatever you choose, it is guaranteed to be fun and memorable – a week you will never forget!
Evening Activities
Sunday - Assault course. Please bring clothes you are happy to get messy in!
Monday – Pirates / Ninjas / Zoo Animals / talent show. This will be a costume party. Everyone will need to dress either as a pirate, a ninja, or a zoo animal. Your choice! Please bring your choice of costume.
Tuesday – Luau. Dress in your Hawaiian best and enjoy the luau – bring along hula skirts (shorts underneath) and tanktops for girls / Hawaiian shirts for boys. Feel free to dress up!
Wednesday – Movie night. No need to bring anything special.
Thursday – Country fair. Everyone will need to dress in country / western gear. Bring your country / western gear with you for a night of fabulous outdoor fun.

Who's Doing What?
Speaker:
Tom Fraley has been a Pastor and Youth Pastor in the states in Kentucky and Nebraska. He has a heart for Scotland and feels the Lord has called him there full time. He is planning to live in Scotland and help to plant churches there. His wife’s name is Leigh Ann and he has one daughter, Katherine, who is married.
Worship Leader:
Justin Boggs is 29 years old and is a veterinarian in the Atlanta area. He has been leading worship for about 10 years. His passion and heart for worship began at the University of Georgia Wesley Foundation in Athens, GA where he was both challenged and encouraged to seek after God's heart and what worship really is. He loves hanging out with youth, making people laugh, and being outdoors.

How Do I get there?

Churches and parents need to make arrangements for all participants to be transported to and back from the camp.
Arrival time is between 3pm and 4pm on Sunday 13th July. Please do not arrive earlier than 3pm and later than 5pm.
Departure time is 12 noon Friday. Campers are not allowed to leave early. Parents should arrive a little before 12 noon.
